Meet our new work share volunteer

sean and joshThis morning at Go Local Ovington, Sean was being helped by the new work share volunteer.

They were busily planting lettuce and spinach seeds in the poly tunnel out of the rain which was not on the forecast.

Some of the brassicas from the poly tunnel are already planted out in the field but there are many more ready to fill up the space as soon as they have free hands. Netting will be required as the pigeons are apparently very interested in all things from the cabbage family.

The good news is that Sean has seen the first swallows this week which is surely a sign that spring is here.
