Ian had obtained a potato lifter in order to make harvesting the potatoes easier. Unfortunately it broke and he’s not yet sure if he can repair it or get it repaired. Oh dear – back to the potato fork then.
The strimmer had been working on overtime with the open day on 11th July and the requirement for the fields to look good.
It rattled itself apart. However, not being one to give away older items, Ian went along to the store and found the old strimmer that is no longer used. With parts from this, it was possible to do a repair. So there is still a working strimmer available.
There’s a moral there somewhere about keeping spares for repairs and that sometimes a fork is more reliable than a machine.
