The Pesky Wildlife

by on August 22, 2015

cabbage-white-butterflyThe cabbage white butterflies are late upon parade this year and we had hoped that it would be a quiet season for them.

Not so, they are now abundant and doing the things they do to make up for lost time it seems.

The moles are still invading the poly tunnels with persistence. The ladybirds are required again to gobble up the red spider mites that seem to be reappearing too.

And when he has a moment Ian is going to try and identify the caterpillars that are infesting the nettles and sneaking into the poly tunnels. Some are hairy and some are not he says!
