War on annual weeds

That’s the plan for next year. So all you work shares and volunteers will be helping with a lot of hoeing.

You’ll need to leave the crops in and not hoe them out but you will need to take out the chickweed, the dead nettles, the shepherd’s purse, the fumitory,  the speedwell, the groundsel and lots of other common and quite pretty weeds that we can’t eat.

Oh and a lot of the Fat Hen – I know it’s edible but there’s far too much on the Go Local Fields. And that’s us told – Ian says so!
