The poly tunnels are cropping well

by on February 11, 2016

poly tunnel cropsKale, lettuce, salad leaves, mustards, chard, spinach, Chinese cabbage, pak choi and radish are all coming along well.

There are 60 pots of potatoes as well and even the carrots look as if there will be a crop. Soon.

Early broad beans will be started off in cells on a high shelf (out of reach of mice) in one of the tunnels and these will be replaced by further sowings to help with the rotation until the soil is warm enough to allow outdoor planting.

Jude was busily sowing rocket, celeriac, summer savoury, bright lights chard (mixed colours) and Kailan Kichi this morning in the working poly tunnel when I was wandering round the fields and polytunnels.
