The wildlife is still about

MoleIan had to rescue a thrush from the netting where the wind had blown it loose in the fields. We need the thrush to help with hunting out the snails and slugs so it was a rescue worth undertaking.

Note to volunteers and workers – keep an eye on the netting to make sure it’s secure against intruders – some of them may be friendly (even if the pigeons definitely are not)

Apparently there are signs of moles coming into the poly tunnels again – could be the first signs of the spring mating season!

The pigeons are a given of course. It’s the hungry season for them as well as us.
