Busy wild life

by on April 18, 2016

robinThere’s a robin going in and out of a pile of pallets so busily that it could be that there is a nest there. There are also wrens around fields but no-one has yet spotted a nest. Who knows in either case? We shall have to wait and see if there are fledglings.

There are now four eggs in the blackbird’s nest.

Early on Friday one of the herb buckets was moved and a common smooth newt was discovered underneath. Of course a suitable bucket was found to go back in the space.

All in all, a very varied set of wild life this week.
