The family of blackbirds have fully fledged and now have left the nest to continue as the next generation. Probably the parents who were on continuous feeding duty will be mighty relieved about this.
There is a severe attack of aphids in the bottom poly tunnel – oh joy, not! We could do with the return of the many ladybirds that were in the poly tunnels last year to cure that problem.
And a new thug has turned up in one of the poly tunnels – creeping sow thistle. Wild life comes in many forms, not always the expected of course.
