It’s time for peppers and chillis to go into the Go Local Food poly tunnels. Lots of peppers and chillis.
Mohawk peppers – produces a huge crop of small, block-shaped green fruits which ripen to a bright yellow
Cute Red Stuff Peppers – mini variety of sweet pepper. Cute apple shape is great for small-size recipes
Apache Peppers – produces a heavy crop of 2-3inch green peppers that mature to bright red all over the plant and is a hot one
Cayenne Peppers – a great chilli, producing good crops of slender chilli peppers that will certainly spice up your culinary life
Celicia Peppers – is a sweet pepper variety which comes milder than the hot ones we have in the poly tunnels so probably a bit of relief for those who aren’t into the hot chilli type
Big Jim Peppers – milder but bigger
Sweet Banana Peppers – named for its banana-like shape, this variety bears sweet, mild peppers that mature from yellow, to orange, and then to crimson red
One Naga pepper is being grown from a plant supplied by a Go local Food member – think that is a special and not for sharing though …
