The good, the bad and the sulking cucumber

Cucumbers50 metres of stonehead cabbage planted.

100 metres of sprouts planted.

25 metres of runner beans planted – will it be enough?

25 metres of peas planted.

Another 25 metres of broad beans going in.

The winter onions are going to seed due to the dry weather – our rain seems to be somewhere else.

The French beans outside have been damaged by the cold winds this week – but it looks as if they might recover if we have a warm week, no winds and maybe some summer showers (else we may have to water them).

The cucumbers are causing grief in the poly tunnels. So far Ian has had to replace 10 – though many of the others look healthy so we should have the normal good crop.
