Planting out goes on apace up at the Go Local Food fields. This week:
150 metres of leeks planted out;
75 metres of parsnips sown;
75 metres of carrots sown;
175 metres of swedes sown.
There are 42 butternut squash well spaced out under black plastic in the manured area at the bottom of the field as planned. Because these are planted out well spaced, some are left over still in pots and a space is required to be found for these. Hmm – not in the planning.
Basil has been pricked out into tubs for Go Local Food members and also coriander is pricked out in the working poly tunnel.
