A sparrowhawk was spotted working the Go Local Food fields last week. Thought to be hunting swallows!
The fat pigeons have been watching the fields with sharp eyes hoping that the netting will be blown off the brassicas to allow them to have a feast. It seems that lettuces and squashes are not to their taste – well yet.
It’s possible that the pigeons are nesting in one of field hedges.
