These are a problem for the weather forecasters. They are difficult to forecast as the showers can happen in one village and not the one next door, one part of a town and not another, can be seen quite locally and miss you where you are sitting or catch you out and miss your neighbour up the road.
There is an interesting article here on the how and why of getting the forecast right for these summer showers (or just as often, totally wrong). As yet weather forecasting is not perfect and it can be frustrating if the Go Local Food fields could do with the summer showers to help with the watering (and just as frustrating when we have had too much and too many).
So if the warning of thunderstorms in over the coming two days doesn’t bring rain on the Go Local Food site – well that’s just because the technology isn’t accurate enough – yet.
