broad beansIt is said that this is the last week of broad beans in the Go Local Food crop share! So enjoy the last ones.

However there are runner beans (both red and white flowers if you look on the fields) to come so the bean crop is not at an end.

This week there should be radish pods in the crop share. These are a treat after the radish have gone to seed and the root is no longer fit to harvest. They taste of radish and can be used anywhere that you would normally use radish.

There were also some very tasty looking courgettes from the Temperly growing area in Ian’s vehicle when he arrived to get the crop share picking going this morning.
