Those pumpkins that were supposed to be butternut squash are appearing in the poly tunnels as they ripen. They are definitely large. And good for carving or soup or roasting or baking or … ideas for recipes will be gratefully accepted.
But for those members who are traumatised by having to deal with such a monster, Ian is growing on some munchkin squash (no not the ones from the Wizard of Oz type munchkins!) from donated plants. These delightful small squash are definitely much easier to manage if the big ones look to be a handful to cook or you are only a small household. Recipes to follow!
