January looks to be a very busy month for Go Local Food – even in the depth of the Northumberland winter.
During the week beginning 2nd January Ian is back at work and will be joined at various points by Liz, our volunteer co-ordinator who will be getting to grips with organising events and recruiting new volunteers.
Our work shares – well some of them – will be back in operation from 13th January on a reduced schedule until February when Ian is off lambing.
Events for members include:
Saturday 14th January is Members Session (less sitting around in one large group and more smaller groups tackling specific questions/problems), lunch and crop share collection from The Old School in Ovingham, 10 – 1.30 pm
Saturday 28th January – All Hands on the Fields, lend an hour, have a cuppa and tackle a task to help keep the fields in tip top condition.
Also on 28th January – one of the re arranged Willow Workshop will take place. We’ll be laying a hedge, making an arch and learning how to make shape. So those who couldn’t do the dates that had to be cancelled might like to book a place now by contacting admin@golocafood.org.uk
