60 peppers have been planted and also a full row of 60 Gardener’s Delight tomatoes. More of both have to be planted out to fill up the tunnels so that Go Local Food members enjoy the summer vegetables.
Meanwhile in the working tunnel, there are celeriac, rocket, coriander, chicory, basil, curly kale and lettuce seedlings all needing to be pricked on.
And with the hot weather that we have had this last week, the poly tunnel sides have been raised about three weeks earlier than normal. Yes, it’s been hot in the poly tunnels.
