Quiet wild life times

red kiteWell other than another hole in the rabbit proof fencing that allowed bunny into the crops this week, it’s been quiet.

All the red kites (well five have been seen) have taken up visiting Gibside Community Farm rather than Go Local Food. Come on Gibside – share a few with us. Buzzards have not been spotted which is unusual compared with other years but a passing sparrowhawk and a kestrel have been seen in the area.

All in all, other than the usual pests (rabbits and pigeons, of which we have spoken too often) it’s been quiet recently on the wild life front.
