Ian, the grower at Go Local Food, is doing the autumn planning for next year – deciding what should be grown where to ensure a proper crop rotation. He also needs to be able to start ordering seeds and planning for having crops bought on in heated greenhouses.
But the choice of what is grown is made by our members as we are a community supported growing scheme and our members are the community.
So Ian needs to hear from all our members as to what they would like to see in their crop shares next year. Therefore you need to speak to him with your ideas – not all of them may be possible with the climate on our fields but if you don’t ask Ian doesn’t know and can’t explain if it isn’t possible to make it happen. Or say “yes what a good idea, we’ll do that”.
