Harvesting our summer crops!
On our last activity Saturday, the growing gang harvested all our remaining summer crops including; potatoes, peas and runner beans. The children had a great time getting their hands dirty, discovering vegetable treasures from our previous planting activity days!
Building our Hedgehog House!
The children then renovated the old cat shelter (which has been hidden on the little field) into a hedgehog house, so that our local wildlife can stay cosy and warm throughout the Autumn and Winter months ahead.
Growing Gang on tour!
Our next event is Saturday 28th October 10 am-12 noon and will be at Ovingham Playing Fields Pavilion, Windsor Crescent NE42 6AZ. We will be pumpkin carving (please bring a pumpkin) and planting Spring bulbs. As it is also a Krafty Kids Saturday we will be making some Halloween crafts including sugar skull lantern painting and other spooky activities!
