There was a light layer of snow on the fields on Wednesday doing the settle, then thaw and freeze action. Should have been interesting on Thursday after overnight falls.
There’s a busy wind which is moving the covers off the brassicas but it seems that there is not too much pigeon damage at present (no foot purchase on the icy ground perhaps).
Indoors there is racking being erected in the Palace to make it easier to sort out crop shares.
We can only wait till the weather improves a little, it gets a little warmer and lighter before we can get out onto the fields and back into growing mode.
