Despite the rain, snow, wind and cold over Easter – the poly tunnels have been too warm. The tatsoi, Pak Choi and Chinese leaf in the hanging baskets in the poly tunnels have all gone to seed so as much as possible of each has been harvested for the crop share. Oh dear. There’s just no winning with this growing lark.
Just to say that despite the comments above, I thought the share this week was amazing. I took a prospective customer round the farm and through the poly-tunnels – what an amazing amount of colourful fresh leaves there are in the tunnels with plenty of young plants also now taking their place. Well done Ian and all the growers!
