Ladybirds

ladybird Larva

There are ladybird larvae in the poly tunnels at the Go Local Food fields and some of them are just about to hatch. Even larval ladybirds eat aphids. They also eat other insects that have soft bodies, like mites, white flies, and scale insects – all of which are pests of plants. Welcome to the Go Local Food poly tunnels then especially as we are filling up with tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers – the summer crops.
