The first row of runner beans has been planted and more will be planted next week. The second row of peas is now in the ground along with calabrese and early sprouts. The onions are done and the leeks need to be planted out. More beetroot to be sown.
All the cucumbers are in. Some of them are the standard F1 varieties and others are heritage varieties which means that there has to be regular daily picking off of male flowers daily to prevent a problem with bitter taste.
The blue tits are raising their second brood and it’s possible that the robins are doing the same thing. In other words it’s quieter on the wild life front at the moment.
