cabbage white caterpillarsShould you find our Go Local Food grower on his hands and knees inspecting field fences and rabbit proof fencing – he hasn’t lost the plot. It’s just that the rabbits are still getting into the crops. And where the break in the fortifications is – well that’s the problem yet to be solved.

Caterpillars galore to be removed from cabbages, kale, sprouts … Mostly the caterpillars are from the local, friendly cabbage white butterflies but there are a few others that definitely aren’t cabbage whites. Do we have any experts on caterpillars? Suppose caterpillars go with the time of the year though.

The partridge covey has returned and the offspring are growing apace. Seems that dive bombing Ian our grower is not on the agenda again – well at the moment.
