Breaking Ice

Go Local Food water butts are frozen so ice has to be cleared regularly to allow for watering. That’s the sign of cold weather then.

Crops in the poly tunnels are growing more slowly than at this time last year as the weather is colder. Is there a theme appearing here?The wild life has disappeared it would seem. The cold strikes again most likely. We are still waiting to see if there will be proper snow on the fields this year. The forecast is correct this morning and snow is falling but it’s only forecast for the day.
